Dr. Prasham Shah is a distinguished orthopedic surgeon with over 42 years of experience, specializing in advanced orthopedic procedures. He completed his MBBS from Grand Medical College & Sir J.J Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, in 1982, followed by an MS in Orthopaedics from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Hospital, Mumbai, in 1985.
Dr. Shah is renowned for his pioneering work in introducing innovative techniques to India. He was the first Indian orthopedic surgeon to learn the Ilizarov technique directly from Dr. Ilizarov himself in 1988. This Russian method has become instrumental in treating complex fractures, deformities, and limb lengthening.
In addition to his expertise in the Ilizarov technique, Dr. Shah was the first orthopedic surgeon in Asia to successfully use ozone therapy in orthopedic conditions. He has managed over 600 cases with this method, achieving significant results in pain management and tissue healing.
