Dr. Shankara Chetty

Dr Shankara Chetty holds a degree in medicine and surgery. Also trained in advanced education in genetics, advanced biochemistry and microbilogy. He runs a medical centre in Port Edward KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

Dr Shankara Chetty has been successfully treating COVID-19 patients from early 2020 and has published his findings in Modern Medicine, issue 5, 2020. He is reported to have now treated over 8,000 COVID-19 patients with success regardless of age, without any of them requiring oxygen support, hospitalization and ventilation.

Dr Chetty from his experience and he is very careful to explain the benefits of treating clinical symptoms of Covid-19 as they present themselves over time. He seems to have a good grasp of how Covid-19 progresses and how to intervene at each stage depending on the situation of each patient. He does claim that his method and process is effective but also he is careful not to outright discredit the use of vaccines or oxygen.

He believes a Type 1 allergic reaction is the cause for the breathlessness that starts in COVID-19 patients around a week after initial infection. He has advised his community to record the first day of the appearance of symptoms like fever, headache, cold, dry cough, body aches etc., and notethe eighth day, when the symptoms should get better. However, instead of getting better, if the patient develops breathlessness on that day, he/sheshould be immediately treated with steroids and anti-histamines under the guidance of a qualified doctor, according to Dr. Chetty.

Dr Chetty from his experience and he is very careful to explain the benefits of treating clinical symptoms of Covid-19 as they present themselves over time. He seems to have a good grasp of how Covid-19 progresses and how to intervene at each stage depending on the situation of each patient.
